The Harris County Clerk’s Office is hiring Election Workers, Election Night Support Staff, and High School Student Runners to support upcoming elections.

These roles are essential to ensuring a smooth and secure voting process across Harris County. Workers assist with setting up polling locations, helping voters, handling voting equipment, and supporting election operations.

Positions offer $17/hour with paid training and provide a meaningful opportunity to serve your community and support the democratic process.

General Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting voters at polling locations
  • Setting up and managing voting equipment
  • Supporting election night operations
  • Transporting or handling election materials (varies by role)

Basic Requirements (vary slightly by role):

  • U.S. citizen
  • Harris County registered voter (for most roles)
  • At least 18 years old (16+ for Student Runners)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift 30–40 lbs of equipment
  • Basic technology skills
  • Completion of paid training

High School Student Runners must be enrolled in school and have parental/guardian consent.
